The Promise of 'The Promise'
The 300 million yuan, magic epic saga "The Promise" is expected to finish its painstaking six-month shoot on September 14.
The content of Chen Kaige's film has been a closely guarded secret, but Chen says he wants to live up to the standara set for Chinese blockbuster films set by director Zhang Yimou's 'Hero' and 'House of Flying Daggers'.
Audiences will have to wait some time before they can see "The Promise".
It won't hit China's screens until 2006 due because of its long production time.
The movie stars 23-year-old Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung, actor Nicholas Tse Ting and Korean actor Jang Dong Gun.
Some critics are already calling "The Promise" China's answer to the epic "Lord of Ring" trilogy.
*Oh yeah.. Dong Gun oppa has finished filming the movie and is bak at Korea.. He finished filming the movie "Promise" on Friday (10 Sept) and has already back to Korea in the afternoon of 11th :D

Korea superstar Jang Dong Gun decided to donate the "scholarship" to help his junior schoolmates.
It is reported that on 16th September, at 2 pm., Jang Dong Gun will go to his former secondary school and denote the "scholarship" to help his junior schoolmates. This is one of the activities of the "Association of the Enthusiastic Person". The artists of this association always give help to their junior schoolmates.
The members of this association include Jung Joon Ho, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Jung-eun, An Jae-wook, Kim Min-jong, Han Jae Suck, Park Chul, Jung Sun-kyung, Kim Yoo-mi etc. They helped many entertainers/artists who are neglected by the audiences. A "Mayor Award" issued by Seoul Government will be presented to this association on 14 September.
